Default EXI

My new EXI tail rotor shaft seems to bind the first third of the shaft and wondering if I should replace or lube? Will this one work?
http://www.helidirect.com/product_in...oducts_id=1985

I'm also putting together a list of things I would like to have around as spares along with some tools. Will the align rod links work with my coptorx head when I put it on the EXI? What bearings do I need? Not finding any SG90 rebuild kits either..

MT this is the tail shaft I use in my EXI and My Belt. http://www.cnchelicopter.com/servlet...SX-head/Detail
I like it cause you can lock it with set screws.

Is the spectrum S75 servo good enough for this bird, as i already have a few? if not, what would be a good quality servo, that does cost to much? Was going to rob my Belt Cp V2 but decided to put it togther as money alow's with new parts.

Thanks Wes

SG90's are nice cheap servo's that lots of people are using. But for the tail get a futuba 3114.

+1 That's exactly what I would say unless you can find some MG90's compared to the SG90's they're twice the price but twice as nice and still inexpensive(about$10-$12 each). But good luck finding them they are super rare and that is they're downfall. So sorry if I got your hopes up. The SG90's are great cheap servos with no complaints from me! I just got lucky getting the MG90's but had the SG90's for a long time and still do!

Not too rare. I'll have them in 10 to 14 days now so if anyone wants them let me know. Also will ave plenty of sg 90s and gear sets.

I figured you'd pop in and say something! My post was just a nudge for your arriving stock! Wasn't sure if it was a secret or not so I kept my keys quiet until you announced it yourself!

I figured you were up to no good. I lost track of them in Shanghi, but tracking confirmed they were here in the states somewhere. I'm guessing customs. They also have a digital version of the MG 90

I'm wondering if this will work? Since there's no binding on the later 2/3rd part, perhaps the belt's direction can be reversed (open tail and flip belt for one turn) and with the blades reversed themselves, the tail assembly will only move on the outer 2/3rd of the shaft which is free from binding.
I'm using SG90's. For now my binding isnt that bad but I might have to do this reversal later.

That won't work. The tail blades only will work spinning counter clockwise if viewed from the right side of the heli. If you are using the stock tail the stock pitch slider binds with the control arm. Get a Blade 400 pitch slider to solve that or get a Belt V2 pitch slider and control arm. The V1 was a bad design and they all bind with the control arm. I hope that's what you mean.

Got my motor and 13t pinion today. Got it all installed and must say I like the gold better then the purple..lol But I hope that I can handle this new power once I get my other parts and get it set up..
I was looking at the tail servo and am going to use an SG90 but on the mounts theres three holes. The closest hole seems to give the best but the servo hits on the mounts so do I need to trim some of the servo or should I just put in the next hole out?

I put mine where it would fit. I'm not that happy about how the rod bends down to the servo though

Well I'm not sure if this will work for the EXI but on my tail servo I have the ball in the first hole out from center and cut away the rest of the arm. If you need to get more throw adjust the ATV's(limit pot) on the Gyro or bump up your travel adjust in the Tx!
