Unhappy 1 Cyclic servo is 'jumpy'

This is my first FBL setup, so please bear with me. Trying to program the CopterX 3x1000 and I've got a weird symptom which I'm not sure how to determine whether it's programming in the FBL unit, a faulty FBL unit, a faulty servo, or an issue with the receiver! The only thing I know for sure is that I can't fly it like this.

Basically, the channel 2 servo runs way faster than the other two and rolls way past center when I give right aileron and release, but centers perfectly when I give left aileron and release. Yes, it finds a different "center" depending on which aileron input was given last.

That's a major problem, but the speed at which it jumps around is at least as big a problem because it's out of sync with the other cyclics. In flight, it would be totally unpredictable.

Any thoughts are welcome. Being new to a lot of this setup, I'm feeling very discouraged.

Don't be discouraged. I'd say it's the servo but best way is to find out, swap a couple servo connections around on the cx to see if that one stays bad. Quickest way I know of to determine if servo or cx setting.

Let us know the results.

Cheers,
Ken

99% sure it's a servo problem. I'm guessing the POT is dying or dirty, or the wires connecting to it have become unsoldered.

Daddy, Dr. M, I don't care what they say about you - I think you're aces!

Servo was indeed the problem. Replaced it. Finished my setup. Hover!!

It's pitch black so I'm not doing more than that 5 second controlled hover until tomorrow, but I'm ecstatic. Thank you both.
