What's the deal with the 9180 9188 servos?

I've been waiting for two months for the new Torq servos to come out. Every time I ask HD when they'll be released, the date keeps getting pushed back. Latest release date is end of January. I don't mind waiting for a quality product, but I can't stand being strung along. Anyone know what the deal is? Are there any other HV alternatives?

klamp, Prestige RC (US distributor for Outrage) is shipping the new BL9180 and BL9188 Servos out to dealers as I type this. They should be available in stock at dealers in the next few days. Please contact your favorite Outrage Dealer and they should be able to take care of you very soon!

at least as of now no one lists them. Odd - often they at least would allow to pre order. For those servo's they do not seem to exits. OutrageRC does not even answer any email requests. Wonder why.

ordered mine. Still do not understand how hat discount thing works for some of you. You must spend at least 30K per year I guess. I had spend close to at last 15K each yea for two years and simply get ignored.
However I wanted the servo and placed my order. Still HeliDirect sucks when it comes to customer treatment.

did you try the coupon CODE above that i posted as far as how much to spend to get it i dunno but in a 52 week year i had 47 orders and usually $100 min and a few $600 orders im afraid to add up all my orders over the past year prob 7-10k

Went ahead and got 8717's for the 700E but now I am thinking about these for the 550E. Too many desicions.

For a 550E you might want to look at the 9080, HD has them now (3) for $250, you don't need the extra torque for the smaller machines

good torque and speed. IMO though priced too high! I wish the cyclic servos were closer to $100 ea. I wanted these servos so bad after seeing the team pilots fly them. Picked up some JR8917's for a good deal on sale . Not BLS which I prefer, but faster and more torque and JR's warranty is killer, so will tide me over for now, till there are some better deals on these to tempt me
