So this isn't so?
Datasheet says there will be an additional heatsink to be sold but I have not seen a partnumber for it yet, so I guess it's not out.
Should be less need though since it has the design it has.

slightly different but mostly the same, you have basically only 1 heli mode, and then you set options using ProgDisc.

Do I actually need the ProgDisc or should the one Heli mode take care of most of my needs (I have never messed with the jives I have I just set it to whatever mode I want and off I go)

If PD1 or 2 makes no difference, both are functionally identical and updatable.

Hope you really meant ProgDisc and not Card.

------------

I cannot reply (crazy cookie) but edit: ProgCard w/ the KOSMIK? No, sorry..

Mr. Mel,

Currently run a 2S Lipo pack for power on my Heli with my Helijive 120 instead of using the HJ BEC. What are is your recommandation for my new Kosmik 200? I'm running HV servos. Do you feel comfortable using the BEC on the Kosmik set at 7.4volts and no bufffer pack?

Thanks

Jim

How are you planning on mounting the kosmik in the goblin?

Not sure...I've been hoping that it's going to fit! On the road now, hopefully I'll be able to anwser soon...

I'd think that if the HJ 120 with a heat sink on it will fit(use the top hole for the battery tray), that the Kosmik should fit with no problem..

Jim

Kosmik is wayyy bigger than a Jive120 w/heatsink from what i've seen. It absolutely dominates the front of an Logo700 and even makes the YGE 160 look small. YGE 160s will barely fit in a Goblin without the heatsink so I don't think there's a chance to get a Kosmik into the Goblin's ESC plate without some modifcation. Might be able to mount it on the bottom where the rx pack would mount.

It fits into a Goblin. I just asked Marcial from Kontronik. He saw it on the weekend on an airshow in Switzerland.

Called a store over on this side of the pond (FastLads) as it is so new they did not know so they got one out the box. They said it had cables and bolts in the box.

Mr Mel,

What are your thoughts on running the Kosmik ESC as compared to running 2S 7.4 for servo power?
