8th Annual Helis Over Tidewater!
HOT*2015 will be held June 5th-7th at Newport News Park Radio Control Club Park flying facility.*http://www.newportnewsrc.org/

3 day event for pilots of all skill levels. We will have 8 active flight stations this year, plus a dedicated hover area and multi-rotor FPV course. $20 landing fee includes pilots lunch on Saturday. This is an AMA sanction event and AMA membership is required to fly. More information to come.

No on site camping. The park has a dedicated campground, I listed the information above.

Hoping to see some familiar faces show up and some new ones as well. The night fly has been approved for Saturday night so bring out those night rigs. I've watch the guy's setup and practice on the FPV course, if they could just stop running into the pylons it should be fun. I saw some great flying at Spring Fling hope you guys have repaired your birds since then and are ready to do it again. Should be a nice and relaxed event, so come hang out and just have fun.

To bad Al, we will have to link up when you get back. We are approved to have a light tower set up Saturday night for those of us with out a night heli to fly.

Hey guys we got a little bit of rain this week, nothing to be concerned about looks like things will clear up and dry out. Looking forward to seeing some of the east coast flyers this weekend.

We have had a great day flying, thanks Will and the rest of the crew at New Port News Park RC. It is doing it's best to rain us out right now,, but hopefully we will get in our night flying.
