VX275 or VX300
Hi Guys,
I'm very fortunate to be picking up the original Leviathan Goblin gasser prototype! I'm aware that it has a VX270TT installed, and I'm sure it will rip as it is....but was wondering if there is a difference between it and a VX275? Also out of curiosity, It is my understanding that the 275 and the 300 make the same power but the 275 will rev harder, whilst the 300 will provide more torque across its usable range. Although I don't plan to change the 270 out anytime soon, what would be the best engine for hard 3D? Cheers! |

The VX300 will keep making power in the same high RPM range as the 275.
The 275 (34mm bore) and 300 (36mm bore) both use a 1mm stroker crank, a 270 has the stock crank. The 300 is the hot ticket in the Goblin, not only does it rev high but it is a stump puller in the lower RPM's. The goblin has the best drive train for taking advantage of the power the 300 has to offer.

VX300 or bust
Morning,
I must say I have never flown the 275, but my 300 is an animal. When I take my Goblin gasser out at field. Everyone can't seem to believe it. It has run like a top for 125 flights. I really enjoy this setup, and I don't think you will regret it. -Drew

Clear decision for 3D , VX300
http://store.gas-powered-helicopters...h-trm-0200.htm Ultimate power after it is broken in is with a Quick Draw Tuned Pipe and a 4 3/8 flex

As Tom said the 300 is the engine for the job, coupled with the quickdraw makes the RMJ E700 Gasser a true 3D machine, we have 3 including mine running locally, very impressive. Enjoy Rob |
