I still have a T-Rex 600E with his Rotorworkz HFX Extreme conversion on it and it's one of my favorite flying helicopters. Now the Rotorworkz site has not been updated in a very long time and I have no idea if it's still alive. I got the impression once he got going at Outage RC it went to the very back burner if not dead.

My guess is Charlie has graduated to much bigger and better things than Rotorworkz since Outrage RC and will land somewhere else big soon.

As for Outrage, they need another main designer and quick. The Facebook post was saving face, it's obvious they are worried.
I love my Rotorworkz HFE Extreme framed TREX600. Very nice frame setup. Wish he would update the bearing blocks, as the stacked CF is a little dodgy. But it's a big improvement from the stock 600. I hope Charley keeps on doing what he's been doing with Rotorworkz or elsewhere.

Ill give a troll warning now. I know this post isn't going to be popular....

I wont touch the issues with Charley himself...what others said about his passion, his ability are all correct - he can accomplish a lot and hopefully will continue to do-so in either his own company, or another that provides a healthy environment for its team.... yeah its team.

I called it here a few months ago: https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...0&postcount=40

Team members were leaving, things were changing - this is just going further down that same road the brand has been on. It will taint them.... it will continue to taint them, unless they can invent a bacon helicopter very quickly.

I still do fly my Velo 50s - but Outrage has clearly shown that the North American market is about as valuable and desirable to them as Tijuana is to San Diego.

It was once a company that had faces, familiarity, a certain romanticism with the brand... and now the top of the pyramid wanted to be like Align, faceless and income focused.

This is what I was talking about in the earlier post.... I heard some of those Team members didn't leave by choice though.

Very interesting Austin. I will be sticking with my two Outrage 550's as planned for my 2011 season.. I really like them.. and hopefully I can buy a Fusion 90 for 2012. Time will tell. There's a lot of competition out there so they will hopefully push hard to keep up and perhaps surpass... I don't care what they think of North America.. as long as Helidirect stocks spare parts

Well certain parts have not been produced for over 7 months now.

not sure what to make of that

Fortunately electronics and blades are transferable and make up a good percentage of total Heli cost.

No. I ended up building a G5 "crash kit" from parts i found here in the HF forums because helidirect had been out of stock since i bought my kit (May) and said "No ETA on xxx". Now this...makes me worry (and want to snatch up whole spare airframes...)

O550 AND G5 Parts.. I am sorry but even as a REP this really bothers me that something can go on this long. People simply will not buy the helis if parts (critical) parts cant be produced for it.

Outrage. You need to send a company spokesperson into the forum and act on your behalf. Otherwise rumors can spread like wildfire and ultimately hurt the company more.

Outrage is doing just fine overall. With Tareq making waves. I have no doubt that 550/G5 parts will come in soon. There's no reason for them to stop making parts? As Capi said the 550 is their largest seller!

I looked over the G5 parts list and they do list alot, and i noticed that NOTHING was out of stock.

I then noticed at the top of all the outrage sections: "Outrage parts are Not real time inventory and in some cases parts are drop shipped from our supplier". So maybe they have them, maybe not?

If you look at HD you'll see they have been lowering prices alot on the "older" helis (550, G5) and like s0laris said they have been out of certain parts. I really hope they don't discontinue these helis.... Even if they ended up doing that I hope they still make parts..

So what happened to the G10 kit on HD? The Silver pro is $320 now (amazing), and CF Pro is $499. $180 more just for the different frames, WTH?

I think G10 kits are a harder sell these days with the popularity of bling.

Yea, G-10 is all I buy too. Hope they won't get rid of the G-10 frame spares.
