Helimotor in HPI Mini Recon.
Bought a HPI Mini Recon as a x-mas precent for my 11 year old sun.
Did allso buy some 2s lipos for it. After running a few pacs thrue it drifting on ice and gravel the motor burned out. Got some used Losi 370 motors out of a wrecked truck and soon the first loosi motor was fryed. So now th last of the Loosi brushed motor is installed and my son have to drive more gently to prevent burning the last motor. Have allso tryed a 7400KV brushless motor but the KV is way to high, so changed back to the brushed motor again. Lack of cooling is appearently an issue here and therefor im thinking of fitting a heli motor in it. Have found a motor on hobbyking EH200 4100KV outrunner that seem to fit with minor modifications. Im planing to glue filter material in the air inlets to prevent dust and dirt to enter the motor, an that way make the motor handle donuts an drifting all day long. Am i thinking right hare ore will i run into other issues with with a heli motor in a truck?
