Default Clear Plastic Shrink Wrap

This might be the dumbest question I've ever asked on Helifreak but I can't otherwise figure it out and I don't want to ruin an expensive lipo so here goes.

I just purchased a Gens Ace 6S 4400mah lipo (my first "large" pack) and noticed there's a clear shrink wrap around most of the pack. Am I supposed to remove that plastic or leave it on?

On one hand it seems like it might be important but on the other hand I've never seen this clear wrap on my 3S packs.

Leave it on. It holds the cells together.

Great place for battery shrink:

Great for building a 12 S or a 14 S pack.

I left each batteries clear shrink on and then I shrink wrap both of those together with one long shrink tube. Makes a nice looking battery.
