No reason other than it was recommended by Ed at GrandRC as possibly being more reliable fuel control than just the pumped version. If it turns out I don't like it you can easily by the pump and add it.

what did he mean with "more reliable fuel control" ? from the logical view (at least from my view) a pump will be more reliable in terms of providing enough fuel rather than no pump ?

Pump or no pump your needle setting control fuel MIXTURE.... That is what the carb smart is good at. The pump tries to make sure that with a full tank or a low tank that the same amount of fuel can be delivered to the carb. Unfortunately that is not always the case depending on heli and tank setup. People still get lean out problems. This is why some guys also use a Klein regulator. So the idea is why have all that and just adjust the needle in flight. I dunno myself if this is the best way or not but it certainly seems to work well on my 600n. So I am gonna try it on the 90 and see how it works. I am not saying it is better at this point until I try it....

With the 8717's can you use the Align JR servo wheels on the 700, are the distance on the cranks the same as the 600 ? need to order some new servos for this kit.

Bob
Thanks for all of your great work. I did get $help$ with a local instructor in the beginning, but it's just funny how some of the guys I know tell me that they started on their own. Now I find out that they have watched just about every video you have made.

I also have a question for you. I noticed that for some improvement reason the fuel nipple has been moved to the center of the tank, so I was wondering if it is still as easy to remove the tank from the frame as before.

Thanks
Nelson

Dude, be patient... It's not like you have one anyway

He's a busy man and he'll get to it when he's ABLE. Remember, Bob isn't getting paid to do ANY of this and he does this on his free time!

Besides, the past weekend was a 3-day holiday weekend here in the USA, so it's entirely possible that he was outdoors having fun flying his helis.

Not paid?? A free 700 is a pretty good form of payment. And well deserved. Keep up the great work Bob! You make the best vids.

Man Bob your are a busy man. Tackle a Fun Fly and still fit build videos in between. You are definitely dedicated to bringing the Helifreaks the entertainment. Thanks for the hard work. Oh and take a break and drink a beer or two to unwind after a hard days work.

Thanks,
Ken
