70 flights here, a no vibration problems in this moment. All stock
What is the recommendation of the factory?
Will our birds should be grounded?

Thanks,

Ok, I replace the stock tail blades with EDGE 105mm and no vib and no hum.

Thanks in advance.

Default bad set of main blades?

so yesterday i went flying had 2 issues one that weird sound the hum and second i think i got a bad set of main blades like the weight in one blade shifted what was happening is i thought i had a bad vib so i did a bench test with no blades it was really smooth so i went flying and had a bad wobble couldnt find what it was gyro gain or a sticky tail it would just wobble like a 450 with low speed all i did that fixed was change to a set of edge mains and the wobble was gone

if you feel the main are out of spec contact tim at assurance he can set you up with an RMA on the mains

what head speed are you running on the DFC head when you saw the wobble with the align blades

Not sure if they are off it was suggested to me by another pilot I'm running 1850 1950 2050 with a vbar that is showing high vibes in a hover
Just kept oscillating like the tail was doing a figure 8 and the edge 713 le fixed the prob all that is left is to put the align back on and see if it does it again but I won't fly it till the tail is fixed

This is technical error from factory.
To align: align to have more incentives to these customers.
Very dangerous for player.

Sounds like the new gear ratio in V3 to speed up the tail is causing resonance( the hum)? This can be fatal to metal like the tail shaft.

Slow the sucker back down and opt for longer tail blades like 115's.

Sounds like align will get it sorted in short order, lots of attention here

Once again we know about the problem and have a solution, i will say this for the 100th time if you have the hum dont fly the hub will snap off try a lighter set of tail blades which will stop the hum we have factory pilots testing the solution.

I know this is a long shot but does anyone have a video of the difference in sound between the 'good sounding tail' and the 'bad humming' one?

I realise that for most of you experienced guys, the sound is probably like 'night and day'.

However, the DFC is my first 700 and I have not been flying long enough, or around others, so have no real way of knowing what sounds right and what doesn't.

Kind regards,

B

Default Look at the first vid from sipham

He posted a good video of the sound and what happens my 700e dfc is grounded until this is fixed and it would be great full not just to the ones who havnt had the tail snap off but also the ones who have had for align to replace parts for the fix for free and damaged parts to those who have had the failure.not just me but everybody has paid good money around $2000 some more some less and want it to work with no worries this is bad and dangerous guys don't fly until its fixed I won't even try different blades

Ah, ok. Thanks guys.

Mine isn't as bad as 'that' but it still doesn't sound quite right. To me at least.
I was going to put the Rail105 tail blades on to if that helps, as well as the 696 mains, but
I think I'll play it safe and not fly until we hear of a resolution of the issue from Dino/Align.

Thanks again.,

B
