Default Hitec HS 65 Caution

Took me a little while to figure this out, figured I might save someone else the trouble.

Purchased a replacement case for the HS 65. Upon installing the top/front, found the servo to be bound up.

Eventually discovered that the original top has a pin that holds the first (smallest) gear in place. This pin has a hole or indentation that the shaft the gear rides on inserts into when the top is put on.

The new top has a longer, smaller diameter pin without a hole and was being forced sideways and bearing against the smallest gear, preventing it from turning.

The solution was to nip just a little bit off the shaft for the gear such that the shaft does not protrude above the gear.

I swapped the whole case instead of cutting it. It's there for a reason! But I agree is quite annoying.
