I was just surfing around Helidirect and noticed that they have the 7HV V2 either with or without blades at a reduced price. If you are sitting on the fence about getting one, this might be your chance to save some money.

I have about 20 flights on mine now and I'm loving it! Great presence in the air and tons of power. Highly recommended.

Awesome deal there.
Is a new 7HV on the way, hence the price reduction?

I honestly don't know. I rarely get to go to fun flys or trade shows so all my info comes from the forums or distributors ads. I haven't heard any chatter about anything but the new head design with a swash follower. Perhaps they are going to start including it in the kits? Just a guess.

I am still perfectly happy with mine and I'm using it to expand my skill level. Until my skills are beyond the heli's (which will be a long time), I can't see any reason for me to change anything or upgrade.

MAP=minimum advertised price. If you put it in your cart, you'll see the real price they are charging...which is less than the version with blades

I don't believe there is a new 7HV in the works at this time.

from what i understand u will be able to buy them with the new swash driver head soon and i am pretty sure the current head version will also be getting a updated drive tube soon,

these 2 things may have something to do with it if that information is correct

I think HD is just clearing out as RotorQuest did.
They have all the 7Hv parts on cheap too, even the new head kits.
Hope it isn't the case but just have a feeling.

No ... there is nothing new for the 7HV other than the new optional upgrade head that just released.

Did they change the length of the boom supports at some point?

There was a strut length change at some point. I noticed it last winter when I bought replacements and got a different length.

Can't remember if they got longer or shorter but from memory it was 1-2" change.

Cool. I grabbed a set of them too. They were like $6. I need to work harder at getting rid of the tail wag when I get it flying again.

Have a look here mate regarding a fix about a tail wag.

As luck would have it, I also threw a hub in the order. If that's really what caused it, then it makes me worry about the servo... That's a lot of binding.

I'm also think some new non-compass thrust bearings. The stock ones are uber cheap if I remember correctly. I'm flying a glass smooth diabolo, and the biggest difference between it and all the other helis I've owned is the outstanding bearing set.
