Default Dead band?

I have software 4.09 and firmware 4.05, SK720 blue.
When re-checking pitch movements, I notice there is about 10% dead band, i.e.
- Regardless of my pitch curve, when the "out" level on my Tx (JR DSX9) is between 45 and 55% the SK interface "collective %" reads zero % and the servos do not move. Outside this band the reading and movement seems normal. The other stick movements do not seem to have this dead band.
Any suggestions? Could it be the TX pot? I would hope the TX-out reading would be responding to the pot, and hence if the pot was bad the read out would follow.

Edit later:
The throttle output (on the same Tx pot of course) shows no such dead band.

It's there on purpose to make swash leveling easier. Dan

OK. So it's only there when the USB is connected? (I will check).
Actually it must be for setting zero pitch, not swash leveling. A dead band for swash leveling would surely function on the aileron and elevator axes.
