Epic Helis??
I have been seeing pics and getting tidbits of info on a Heli being manufactured by a company named Epic Helis. Any info on this company? Who is the driving force? Dang good looking Heli. It has a 15mm mainshaft!! If that's not screaming beefy I don't know what is.

The only thing I can find about them is their Facebook page. Is there any other info online? Any word on a nitro version? The photos on Facebook certainly look interesting.

No, it's not a copy of Align anything. Actually this design has been around for some time.
But if you want to talk about "copy" didn't Align take the design from Goblin after SAB took the design from Compass? LOL |

So if they are all copies why would you be so quick to call "copy" on something especially when Align regularly blatantly rips off others designs?
Align ripped off Grippy, countless KDE products and I'm sure there are more to come and probably many I haven't mentioned. And in terms of the Swash plate, it was designed over a year ago, well before Align had even thought about making a simple change to a swash like this. Just for the record. |

Mike how about this you have a good time with EPIC make the brand as good as you can focus on that, focus on life its self and what it means to you, as we both know life has its moments you had your fair share this past year.
We know each other a very long time and I will not put much more into this thread then this post. Lets see what your made of and make it happen with EPIC make it a strong Brand, lets see how the numbers are after ircha I have 10 yrs. worth and know the market pretty good and know the trends even better. Best of luck in your new quest with EPIC Dino.

Thanks for the encouraging words but actually last year was one of my best ever and things were extremely successful to say the least, God willing this year will be even better.
But be that as it may, it came accross as you taking a swipe at the Epic brand that really was unwarranted. I'm content being with a small company and hopefully people will see that we have a great product and phenomenal support, something that larger companies greatly lack. We have known each other a long time, however that really means nothing to this thread and plus our relationship has been rocky at best especially with the shananigans. None the less, continued luck with Align and I'm sure many hope to see more new and even possibly original ideas come out of that company. |

There are a couple visible features that look very appealing to be, especially the battery compartment. Sold one of my helis recently and will be replacing with one of these baby's before the spring season and funflys start up here. Keep up the good work Mike. Haters gone hate!! LOL

I can say that I saw the heli today and it seems to be freaking awesome. I met Mike for the first time and he seems to be a great guy who obviously knows what he's talking about. He is definitely 100% dedicated to the brand and the heli. The design is great. I saw a crash and the heli is freaking bullet proof. He had a thermal shutdown on the ESC and had a dead fall straight into the ground. All that broke were the skids (which are made to break to protect the frame), bent boom, and torque tube. I have had helis at a dead fall much lower crash and break tons of stuff, but the epic fell and had about $40 in damage. I hope they catch on and wish Mike the best of luck. I am definitely very seriously considering for my next 700 size heli.
Also the heli comes with parts to make it a 700 or 800 out of the box. I'm thinking a 800 setup running 750s might be a bad associated combo. From what I have seen of the heli and the company it seems to be awesome and I will be watching and most likely getting involved with them. The heli has some great design aspects and is bullet proof, so i don't see how you can go wrong. Good luck Mike and Epic. You all definitely deserve nothing but success.

Users of EPIC helis / EPIC Company - could you please provide an on-line version of the manual of the 700/800 EPIC heli?
I would appreciated that. Thank you, Emil |

I didn't ever actually pick up the heli to feel the weight, but if I had to guess it probably is in line with other 700 size helis and pretty damn light if it's ran as an 800.i personally prefer a heli that isn't too light. If I end up with one I will very likely run it with the 800 boom and 750mm blades.
