Nano QX 3D: Perfect practise?
Anyone else seen the new Nano QX 3d?
It seems in the advanced mode it performs exactly like a 3D heli, and is going to make practicing inverted flight super easy and stress free outside of a simulator!

Stress free...what's the fun in that? Kidding of course.
Not my cup of tea, but I see how it could be useful if you're just starting out with inverted orientations. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=677487

Indoors looks like a winner!
Can't imagine how many crazy quad choices there will be in the future. |

Seems like a recipe for quickly burnt motors...

Just like all their other helis and quads??? Mcpx Nano cpx Nano qx/qx fpv Shall I continue? Micros seem to burn motors VERY quickly, especially now that they are going brushed and reversing thrust The nano cpx motors only lasted 40ish flights...

Ive totally gone off brushed motors, sick of replacing them in my husban quads (they dont last that long in these). I would hazard a guess that the motors will burn out very quickly in this thing. I might be interested when a brushless version is brought out but not before.

It won't be as much fun as you think, because quads flip and control different to heli's. If you can fly 3d already and want one, sure get one but don't get one thinking it'll be a good 3d teacher that'll transfer perfectly to a 3d heli. Plus I agree all that reversing of brushed motors is a sure recipe to sell more replacement parts.

I'm just not sure how the controls will work in each mode, but I can see how it could help getting the control directions down for all of your orientations if it would self-level inverted. But then again, a simulator is just as good a tool for that and can take you a lot further along into training on 3D maneuvers.
It might be fun to slap an FPV camera on, but other than that I have little interest in flying quads LOS. I make an exception for the Stingray, but my ultimate goal is to fly it FPV too.
