Default UPDATE my zyx s from 3.5 to 4?

It's been a while since Ive had my 450 in the air but have recently been flying my mcpx BL. Just randomly doing some googling & found there is an update for the zyx s to version 4. I had a terribly hard time getting my zyx s to connect to my pc & i was using the correct usb cable. I think I was only able to actually connect to my pc with it maybe 2 times. Then I decided to order the programming box to tune it & from there it was a breeze. Is it possible to upgrade to version 4 using an ipad or a tablet with the usb cable?

Ok so it's not possible to update from an ipad or tablet, neither would download the files. How about flashing version 4 to the programming box from my pc & then update the gyro from the re flashed programming box?? I m just grabbing at straws trying to avoid trying to connect to my pc. My pc is all jacked up right now it's probably close to outdated running vista, can the update be done with a mac? Which I have an almost brand new mac mini at my office

Anyone know if version 4.02 firmware is available to update the programming box?

I know I am not answering your question, but you really should be able to use your PC... it could be a driver issues... What version of WIndows are you using? the following will help you roll back your driver... from time to time, mine somehow gets updated and I have to follow these instructions to get it working again...

It's been a while but I believe once I went into the usb driver properties and changed the USB port to something else (77) I've had no problems connecting to the device.
