Finally set up in governor mode but now I don't have failsafe
I have been flying my 550x for the last two years with out governor mode. I decided to set my 120HV up to run its governor. I have a the AR7200BX and DX9. I set the end points and did everything in this help video.
Everything flies and works great. Just had to learn to use the throttle hold to turn things off after landing. The problem I Have (or don't like) is the safety feature does not work anymore where I moved the throttle up half way to arm the ESC then move it back down, then it would spool up. Now when I move the stick it spools immediately. What have I done wrong. Thanks, Tom

Sounds to me that you had something setup incorrectly before you switched to governor. You shouldn't need to first move throttle to 50 percent then back down to 0.

Did you check the bailout/auto rotation box in the software?

I had the auto rotation box checked the the first time I set the endpoints. I had the same problem with the fail safe. So I redid the end point with the auto rotation not checked thing maybe that would correct the problem. It didn't.

Auto rotation enabled allows a fast spool up if throttle hold is turned back on during an auto, by passing the slow spool up you have set when spooling up on the ground. Has nothing to do with the behavior you described that you want back.

I may not be making my self clear. What I am talking about when I plugged the helicopter in and moved the throttle stick up, the motor would not spool up. I then would lower the throttle and the ESC would beep (It armed at that time) Then moving the throttle stick up it then would spool up. I have done my endpoint procedure three or four times now, double checked the instructions. I am going to call Castle tomorrow. I know it is going to be something stupid. Thanks, Tom

Well I talked to Castle today and was told mine is working normally. He said when you plug the ESC with the throttle stick raised it will not arm but lower the stick and the ESC will initialize, then you can spool up.
I told him with my previous setup I plugged it in with the throttle stick all the way down it did not initialize until I moved the stick up about half way and then back down to low stick for initialization. I guess I am good, Thanks for the input. Tom
