Default Update FM on Ice 100 ?

I have finally taken the plunge and bought a CC ICE esc for the logging features.

On power-up I'm on FM 2.16. Is there any reason I should not jump to 4.12 or stop at 3.27?

I plan on using 6S and the internal BEC since my servos are working fine now with a lower power BEC (3 amp).

Thoughts?

No, update the unit to the latest firmware, especially since some of the ICE line had issues with fires (mostly HV ESCs). BTW, The Ice line has long been discontinued for the current Edge product line which is a safer ESC.

Also note Castle rates their BECs using the peak current values only available for a brief time and not the continuous rating, so a little disengenuous in their marketing methods. The higher the voltage flight pack, the lower this continuous rating gets as we'll.

On 6S you get only about 3A continuous which depending on your electronics can be browned out easily on the bench by simply wiggling the collective stick up and down rapidly, and this is without any load of flight being considered, so be careful putting your trust in that BEC.
