Should main shaft slide down under own weight ?

Building frames right now and after tightening up the frame the main shaft goes in but does not fall under its own weight. While building both my Protos I could get the shafts smooth as silk but not so much for my Logo 500. Any thoughts that this will even matter?

Mine didn't, just push it in. Obviously, there's a limit to how much pushing you should be doing, don't damage the bearings.

Loosen the bolts near the bearings. Mine did the same thing. Loosen them up, slide it in then tighten them up with the main shaft in. That will align them.

Use the main shaft to align the frame upper bearings...as you gradually cinch the bearing bolts down....

And then it'll slide of it's own weight...with a tad of TriFlow...lol

Mine almost always slide a little but not all the way through.

As mentioned, just make sure you have the main shaft in the bearings when you tighten down the frame bolts there.

Over 20 builds under my belt. I should have known better! I even use that technique on my Trex 250. Live and learn.
