A few basic questions (wild)
Just got this little guy outside for the first time, in the wind (~10) mph, and it ran pretty good. Got a few questions: 1) How well do regular blades, particularly kbdd blades work on this little guy, main and rear? 2) Had some tail wag intermittently, is this normal in windy conditions? 3) I gotta fiddle with the pitch curve some more, what's been your optimal, same with servo travel? What has worked best? 4) Anything else I need to watch out for? 5) As a shortcut, does anyone have a nice dx8 file I can fiddle with? 6) Any other suggestions? Anyway, I think I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this one

wild suggestions not wild answers
Quote:
1) The new KDBB Pilot's Choice blades are tops. The have pop. And orange my favorite to see. Second place goes to the stock blades. Tail rotor blades are Blades. 2) I can't remember any wag with a brushed tail motor. How old is the motor? 3 ) DR try 70 or 75 % ale and elev with about 90-100% travel limit up or down Pitch Curve 0,22,50,78,100 to get better resolution in the useful pitch ranges. 4) carry a spare tail complete . 5) DX7 , sorry 6) Balance : When I spooled one up with no blades The elevator servo went nuts before I added a tiny piece of tape under one grip. My other nano didn't hover. I chased it all over the kitchen and even crashed. Then I changed the blades and got hands-off hover. Have fun. I gotta go fly.

Don't know how old the tail motor is, just bought it used, then resoldered connections. I may grab a new tail assembly to test. Thx for the advice.
Wind has been up too much in the last week to fly much.......
