Can you get just the bearings? From MS Heli you have to get the whole tail hub setup

I guess I can look up the bearing sizes in the manual and shop. The blade grips are fine but the bearings arent smooth, so im going to throw a full set of bearings at it, and not replace the plastic parts

Boca carries everything but the thrust bearings for the main blade grips. Even HD is out of the stock set of those.

Starting my build finally. Can't get much further without my new bearings and main shaft. So I'll be going into a holding pattern

I am working a deal with a fellow freak to rewind a motor for me to try and get 1100KV I am hoping using the bigger 16-18T pinions will help?

I am going to get a Warp 16T and try that if the rewind larger stock pinion doesn't work...

I wish I was more knowledgeable on motors workings, I would have built my own with the scorpion kits by now!

Well after another 30 flights nursing the mini along, limiting collective, and keeping power down, I said enough and made the front side of the belt over tight, yup you geussed it, now the belt will hold, but the OWB slips

But I was able to push a little harder on it.

Wow. Just on this page there are some sweet flights! First post to the video section for Mini Protos. Been flying about a year. Love my Mini and Protos 500!

This vid from today shortly after finishing stretching my Mini. She also got a much needed tail servo upgrade. And the Align 410Ms on the cyclic are due soon too....probably before I even take her 6S. Yep that's right...this bird is still 3S AND now on stretch. Def slows the bird down, but I am really digging the slower flight envelope for the small park/field flights. Also will likely help me dividends in developing my skills having a bit more time to think HAHA!! At first, the stretch was not impressive to me with the 3S, but after dialing it in with the new tail it is quite enjoyable. Def requires better collective management so not a bad thing to work on, but hey...she actually does some pretty decent tic-tocs even on 3S still (check out 1:10...I'm not anywhere near best with them, but I'm getting better)

Put a couple of flights on my mini yesterday testing out the Lynx dfc head. Very crisp, and I think I may need to come down a smidge on head gain because of how rigid it is now.

Either way, first flight on 3s went well, even though I got stupid with it and needed all 14 degrees of pitch to keep it out of the dirt.
" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>

Second flight in 6s. Going well until I dialed the headspeed way up and the belt let go. Despite the heli being on its side at the end of the video it actually hit flat on the skids. Tail fin had dug into the mud about an inch, and the nose/esc hit the dirt. The only damage is 1) belt, 2) a few cracks in my pretty new canopy 3) capacitor on the esc is LOOSE. So I'll either fix or replace it.

Cool, did you just get the DFC version, or do you have the standard style AL version too?
