Relaxing in the parking area, waiting for the 5pm raffle :-)

Demos were awesome! Started late but that's ok... They went long too... But more flying is fine with us!

I don't know all the pros by name, but James Haley took the 550X up probably 800ft was SICK... Also Bobby Watts taking his Heli out over the trees into the neighboring golf course was craziness too! Bert's flying was tight and aggressive as always... Just like the vids. The younger Mikado pilot was insane to watch too.

Seems like there was always a Gaui NX4 flying somewhere, didn't realize it was so popular. I think I fell in love with the 550size helis... I've been wasting far too much time with the little stuff, but need to stay within my budget still. I think 550 is that line for me.

I'm stunned at the amount of nitro running... If I believed what I read on the net, it's dead.... Oh no sir! Is alive and well!

I was really hoping to see a turbine fly, there were a few in the pits, but none in the air.

Other mental notes from a first timer to a big show:

1. It's MUCH MORE about the pilot, than the heli...
2. A 450 is really really tiny
3. This hobby is even more expensive than previously thought, that's scary
4. Wow gassers can really perform!!

I didn't win anything, but had an amazing time... Thanks TORCHS! It was definitely worth the drive and I'll certainly be driving back next year!

I took over 400 pics, will need to sort them out on e I get home and will post some. I got some really sweet crash pics in action! :-)

Great day, once again the OHB beat out the only thing that compares - last years OHB! Definitely more pilots and people, more vendors and food and it seemed like more toys in the filled up Toys for Tots donation boxes, including 2 bikes! Bert, Torchs and all the pro pilots put on a great show & demo flights. I had a blast flying and found a new "got to have it" on a vendors table - it's already ordered. Keep up the good work, see you next year! Andy

Talking INCREDIBLE SHOW !!!

All I can say is WOW. Having never been to anything like that before, the flying blew my mind. I know I would forget certain names, so let me just say thanks tremendously to everyone involved.

First the flying was awesome. Again blew my mind. Then I watch what was probably about a 10-year old at most, flying a 700 size heli and doing 3D. Then in the afternoon, a Bald Eagle landed on an electrical post and watched for a while. Photos will be coming.

And, if that wasn't enough, in the raffle, I won a fully assembled, RTF, JR Pro 550 Nex E6 FBL heli (hope I got all that right), and a JR XG8 transmitter. A total mind-blow, for someone just starting in the hobby. Thank you JR, unbelievable.

Umm, I apologize greatly. Thank you Horizon Hobby as well. My mind is just a tad off after that one.

This was my 1st OHB (Sat only) and all I can say is that I am already on countdown mode for next year!

The demo flights were awesome. The demo flight that impressed me the most was from amainhobbies and it was fantastic to say the least. The 2 Helis flying together at full speeds like that was insane!!

The night flights were mind bogging. I know now the guys that fly at night have supper power like X-ray vision or something like that.

Thank you TORCHS, thank you sponsors for putting together such a great event!!!

See you next year.

I think I am going to have to put Orlando on my calendar for next year.
