X50 FBL head dampners
need some super hard head dampners for my TT FBL head. does KBDD make any? what are you guys using besides the stock?
also anyone shim the head to take out that slop?

I don't have a X50, but I always shim for the least slop between grips and headblock.

I just got the fbl head conversion for my r30.Yah the grips have quite a bit of play.I am in the same boat looking for a fix.

kind of odd with a 7mm spindle.

After a few flights on the Thunder Tiger FBL head my model developed some end float on one blade grip. I found some JR washers that are 1mm thick and put two each side to remove end float.
Had the feathering spindle had a proper teeter point then shimming would not be required. What FBL controller and setup do you have that requires super hard dampers? |

I was just curious. In the Compass helis, we use KBDD Lime Green (very firm) dampers.
My initial X50 head assembly is excellent. No slop at all. Assume, it might develop wioth use, though.
