dx7s, HK 500 and Flymentor
That's the setup i have, i'm using a seperate gyro for my tail. I cannot figure this radio out with all the options compared to my dx6i. My tail seems to be in rate not HH \. it has 3 positions for gyro, 0,1,2 Under which one do i put my HH value and where do i put the rate value, right now i have them all set 72%. Flymentor on/off is on gear switch and this thing is jumpy as can be, even with FM off, seems my headspeed is way to high and pitch is almost non-exsistant. That was the settings i used from the Finless set-ups. I need just some basic TC and PC just to get this hovering, it's like it spools up then jumps into air and rapidly down, nothing smooth at all. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Also what is this tail curve and expo's on TC and PC?? INH or Active?? Lost, Guess i need to take a college course on this tx.

can you share your pitch curves and your throttle curves
Be aware that the 500 loves it's headspeed One of mine runs at 2500 and the other runs at 2850

TC is 0,40,60,80,80 PC is 35,42,50,75,100 at that speed as soon as it starts to get positive pitch it's shaky and jumps off the ground, another thing that is happening is when at that speed my whole tail boom twists CCW, everything is balanced, tight, tracked, etc.????

You didn't mention how the heli was set before FM was installed. Was the pitch and tail working ok then. Have you set the swash to 'one servo'. I would start with the gyro connected up as was before FM was installed and have the FM Blue wire unconnected for starters. Once the heli flys and stabilises well then worry about switching it in and out usinf AUX2.

I tried your pitch curves in my 500 and like you said it is hard to control
I am not saying this is right for you but this worked for me to calm down the heli. With fm installed this where my pitch curves had to be to make this bird fly right. my normal pitch curves are 30 33 36 52 60 idle up curves are 15 30 36 52 60 And I run a castle esc set governor to 2500 rpm and the heli flys like a dream
