Default Radiomaster TX16?

Anyone know a fairly simple way to get the Radiomaster TX16s to work with Phoenix? If so could you be so kind as to walk me through it. Thank you!

Do you own a hardware dongle of Phoenix?
China dongle with hardware protection on the chip?

Could be that not all radios are accepted.
Do you have a Mono cable for the DSC / trainer port?

I have the original factory Phoenix Dongle and my TX16s and of course the Phoenix Software. That is all I have. Will I need to pick up something else?

Do you connect it through the DSC trainer port?
You don't plan to connect the TX16s directly by USB I guess? That would require the 6.0 beta Phoenix software I heard.
The original Phoenix dongle must always be plugged in on another USB port.

I probably would use the dongle cable and V5.5.
Do you have to setup a SIM model file in PPM mode, I guess so?
Have you done any basic mappings, assigned some switches to dedicated 7-n channels so the Phoenix RC software can read out channels when sticks or switches are moved?

I only know DeviationTX (Devo 10) where I'm using the PPM mode.
If you get stuck in that SIM model setup or configuring PPM (for using the DSC port, if available), you could ask in the OpenTX sub forum.

Doubt too many people are having a look here...

Is there any specific issue you run into?
Like cable is not recognized, SIM model file with some defaults is missing, you can't assign specific switches, etc.?

Wish I could help more but I have not done any OpenTX programming.
Isn't there a model setup collection somewhere where you could download a clean Phoenix SIM model file?

I'm just playing with setting up a TX16s and Phoenix. I've got it to work with direct USB and through a Spektrum dongle. I used the set up described at https://www.rc-thoughts.com/phoenix-sim/
