Yes, was thinking about the obvious DS620 indeed. But maybe someone knows some alternatives, allthough price won't be much lower I guess for a decent tailservo.

The HK 3D blades fly ok indeed, but we didn't test much yet. Anyway, they tracked nicely, and gave no problems during the first flights, and are cheap for 600 mm blades.
Luckily I also bought two sets from the beginning.

I've already bought two sets of expensive carbons, one HDX, the other RJX, and damn. Don't wanna buy those baby's to often, screw radix, I'm a poor man. These $55 blades are enough of a kick in the wallet.

Good to hear they track nicely. I was gonna go the cheap glassfiber route but I find GF blades track like crap. Every set of carbons track perfectly on the first spooling so far. Hopefully the HK's don't ruin that record.

Hey Raf, what about the Futuba s9257?

It's a mini-servo (not micro) and should do the job..

Only thing is, futuba are expensive, so maybe aling is better...

A mini-servo is too small for the tail of a 600, IMHO, I would prefer the S9254, standard size. I use the S9257 on my 450s, they are perfect for those tails.
Even on my 500s, I already use the 9254 or similar.

I don't think it's too small for the type of flying it's doing. It's a very powerful servo.

If you do start pushing it though, you would need to think about changing it.

I think the Align sounds like your best bet though.

After closer inspection I found that the frame is 2mm contorted/twisted and there are 2 cyclic servo's broken and most of the bearing holders are twisted.
So if you are tired of your heli and you need a jerk to run over it with his car, just give me a call I have some good credentials.
I've ordered a new HK 600GT kit at Hobbyking , I am slowly becoming a specialist in building the HK 600GT heli ( and not proud of it )

Don't feel bad Erwin.

I'm curious if we'll see any improvement over the new kit coming?

Hi guys Papa Sal here. Got my new HK600GT today. the # on box is 10593. Mine looks perfect!!! The pins are 25mm long, no binding on any part, though everything is a little stiff.......I'll get that taken care of. The only problem I see is the rear exit on the tail case is offset. Othe than that.......WOW I'm VERY happy!!!! Get one if you can you won't be sorry.....even the frame is square To be continued...........

Nice to know Papa Sal, thanks for the comments, keep em coming.

Erwin, these Spektrum DS821 can be found really cheap, many guys have these unused and want to sell them, as they came with the DX7 transmitter, and can only be used in a 600 size heli, they are to big for a 500. New ones are around 20 euro a piece. Oh, the 9254 you found will do nicely for the tail, avoid the 9257, as has only 2 kg of torque, and will only hold the (perfect) tail of a 500, as many people already experienced, myself included, lol.

Erwin, don't be stupid. It was an accident. I would like to meet the person who has never made a mistake before. And it was a mistake that has set you back a couple of hundred. People make much bigger mistakes than that.

If your feeling bad. Then just think of this song. It WILL make you feel better.

Im a banana. Im - a - banana.

Peel tha banana. Peel - tha - banana.

Now, GO - bananas! Go - Go Bananas!

Man, what a story! I just got caught up. Hey Erwin, I could send you my old Belt. Don't think you could really make it look worse though.

I have to complement the two of you on an excellent build thread!
