Well, got the new bracket mounts in the mail today, haven't checked if they fit, but they look like they will. *fingers crossed*.
Yes, Dennis P is one in a million and I swear if that guy shows up for our funfly or any in Winnipeg area, I will buy that man a few beers to say thank you. |

Good luck with those parts. Yeah, I do love how my NX flies (and now my 16 too).

Well update time I suppose.
She is just about all built, I just need to finish the pushrods and finish the flybar adjustments. I ended up going with a Scorpion 910kv motor with a 10T pinion*thanks DennisP*, a CC Talon 90 ESC and most likely Thor 6S 5000mah batteries. I am getting ansy to fly this sweet machine, but I want to take my time and make sure everything is correct. Between this bird and my hawk pro, I am going to be doing some serious flying this summer. I think my airplanes are going to suffer from lack of use...LOL |

Just curious...it uses the white main gears correct?
I found with my NX550 that switching to the larger black ones from the 620 were a use improvement when running 6S. I would strip the white gears doing tick tocks. The black gears handle the power better and spin the tail quicker, so you also get better tail authority.

Yes it uses the white main gears. I am not too worried about the gears since I will not be doing 3D. Its going to become a scale heli , but i will keep an eye out on the gears. Thanks |

Well, since the weather here was horrible for the long weekend and i do mean horrible. 50+mm of rain, winds gusting upwards and over 60km an hour... I sat down and did some work on the Swift. I am just about done. A few minor things and set up of throws and pitch curves and suchforth and she will be ready for maiden. Already been told by my flyingbuddy/instructor that I am doing the maiden flight...

They are looking good indeed!
What kind of surface preperation and paint did you use on the Hawk canopy?

Thanks.
For the surface prep, I just very lightly.and I mean lightly rubbed it with a green scotch pad. Then I used Dupli-color Adhesion promoter, followed by Dupli-colour Metal cast basecoat and anodized purple top coat. It's all sealed with a fuel proof gloss clear coat I got for a scale spitfire i built a couple of years ago. http://www.duplicolor.com/products/metalCast/ |

Well, it happened again, bad weather, can't fly so I get bored , have paint laying around so I figure why not paint the swift canopy. The pics don't do it justice, the red and purple have a metalic look to it. It's pretty cool looking in the sun.
