Default JS Model TZ-V2 "3D Frenzy" Helicopter Kit

A Main Hobbies announced availability of the second generation TZ-V2 .50 size pro level helicopter kit from JS Model, affectionately called the "3D Frenzy"! Featuring strong and lightweight G-10 main frames, 120 or 140 degree swash-plate, full metal main blade grips and other "Pro" level features, the TZ-V2 "3D Frenzy" helicopter will surprise you with its low cost and superb flight performance! The narrow-profile design of the fuselage and main frame helps reduce drag for smoother, faster flight in all directions.

Building this kit is fast and easy as many of the sub-assemblies come pre-assembled at the factory. The initial flight characteristics when assembled out of the box are extremely smooth and stable, making it perfect for beginner and intermediate level pilots. For the more advanced 3D pilots, adding a set of lightweight 3D paddles and blades (such as the Curtis Youngblood "Stick Bangers" and "Super Stubz"), this helicopter becomes a 3D monster! Even the most advanced pilots will enjoy how quick and agile the "3D Frenzy" becomes! On top of the awesome performance, the low cost of replacement parts makes the TZ-V2 "3D Frenzy" the perfect .50 sized nitro helicopter for pilots of any level. From "Mild to Wild", the "3D Frenzy" delivers what you're looking for!

Check out the HD video of the prototype helicopter in action on You Tube! Don't forget to watch the video in HD mode for maximum quality:

The helicopter kit will sell with a street price of $219.99, without main blades. Helicopters are expected to arrive in the first or second week of January.

Default Tail boom question

Hey Kendall

I just finished building my Frenzy and I have a question. The boom did not have a slot where it entered the boom block yet the blocks had the tabs for alignment so I just notched the boom to fit is that the right thing to do or am I missing something. Great Helicopter looks really good and I cant wait to get it finished up and flying I just wanted to make sure I didn't mess up and need to order a new boom.

I am assuming you already solved this problem. They have changed the tail booms to not have a slot in them anymore to avoid cracking the booms. The slots in them make them weaker. The new tail cases have a small hole drilled when the boom pin would normally be, and you should remove the pin to get the boom in there properly.

If you got one of the old tail cases, give us a call and we can send you out a replacement tail case with the pin removed.

Yes. The composite plastic/alum swash comes with the kit. The all alum swash is sold separately as an upgrade.

Hi Kendall,
Do you think if .30 size engine is powerful enough for this frame? I mean for Beginner Pilot, I'd assume he's not gonna do any of the fancy 3D (maybe by accident)

Thanks

I wouldn't try to run a .30 size engine in the Frenzy. If you could make it work you'd have one seriously under powered bird. Hyper .50s can be had cheap now, new or used, and would be good in bird for a beginner. I think this would be a better way to go. If you are really underpowered you stand a chance of not having the power to pull you out of a mistake. I know having extra power actually helped me when I was learning. The frenzy is pretty docile in stock config and would work for someone who is learning. No need to under power it.

Mr Nice Guy, Thanks mate.
A friend of mine handed me a crashed Kyosho Nexus .30 heli and wanted me to fix it up for him. I told him out of it as it's not worth fixing that old bomb. I convinced him to build new one using his .30 OS max engine, JRs servos and Futaba radio gear. He has a window of about AUD$400. Please tell me what heli can I get him?

PS, I also have to get him a glow plug starter/regulator, new Lipo + Charger.... all in that $400

Thanks again mate.

Old bomb You have got to be kidding! The Concept 30 series is probably one of the best trainers ever designed. Sure It won't do 3D but as far as a trainer goes there's nothing on the market today that can compete with it.

Hi guys, I just finish my JS Frenzy 50 V2 and I love the heli, well done all around. I notaced that there is a couple extra holes in the head arms where you can change the set up (Im guessing) was wondering if someone has some info in this and if someone has made any changes on the out of the box set up. I read that the closer holes on the flybar arms help with quicker response, but Im not sure. If any of you have any info will be nice if its share with us.

Thank you

Replace it with a century hawk pro 30. Their now yellow though not white so it look better. The body
is strong and it going for 200 dollars at tower. Theres no body bitching about this helicopter notice
not to much thread about the heli because nobody doesn't really have any problem. Anyways this
helicopter can also do 3d. I've seen them fly also I had raptors. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlxS4yVXDkg&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
