this will double the voltage? why would one want that? just a question... I would rather use parallel connections...
the airframe and motor i got figured out pretty much. but when it comes to this new electronic tech is where i'm new to this how to set it up. the guys hear been showing me what i need and teaching me how it all works.

not that complicated really
it's just like when you used to use a RX and a gyro only now the FBL unit replaces the RX, governor and gyro as an all in one unit. It basically hooks up the same way and now you get to use a computer to do the set up. which by the way I ended buying a laptop to replace my desktop so I can program it at the field if necessary.

I never felt the need or had an excuse to use a back up battery for redundancy the 3in1 has a voltage level display for lipo's just do your preflight inspection for every flight and you'll be fine
