Must be my balancer screwing up because I reset (restarted) and everthing ended up balanced and charged so I must have a glitch in the balancer that I will address with TP
Thanks for the input

No you dont... this is a glitch I see all the time! If I restart the charger and not reset the balancer then I too get screwy readings.... The charger code can be updated but NOT the balancer..... Just reset EVERYHING and you should be good!

How do you check which firmware your charger has?

If you do need to update your 1010 how do you go about loading it with the latest Firmware?

Thanks

Why couldn't they have used a USB connector on the dang thing ? Or if they don't wanna go that extra mile why not just use an RS232 ?

I have never been able to get the charger and balancer to work on any of my 9 different 3S 2150 packs. They are different brands (align, FlightPower, and DN) and the only thing that will happen is the balancer reads the pack levels, but when I initiate the charge cycle with 3 cells at 2.1 Amps the charger starts off correctly and then after reaching 1.9 to 2.0 amps it shuts down completely with no message at all. Only once was I ever to get it to work and that was without the balancer on just one try out of about 40 attempts. I even bought new EVO 25 packs this weekend and it would not work on either of them. But they are balanced almost perfectly and charge just perfectly on a different charger I have that also indicated they are taking the appropriate amount of charge. I am very frustrated to spend that kind of money and not be able to get them to work on all my packs. The combo unit has worked quite well charging my TP 5000 with only one error and I reset the charger balancer and it worked fine. But still no luck at all with the 3 cell 2150's.. Any ideas would be appreciated, My next move is take it back and ask to exchange it or at least try another one.

Hmmmmm no idea really... Works fine for me and all my FP packs from 3S up to 10S. Since your having this problem on more than one pack I have to assume something is wrong with your charger or balancer.

What code level is your charger? If it is an old version that might be it?
Also what are you using for input power? Have yo tried a car battery? The charger is picky about input power if it is noisy or low in voltage.

I have a high end power supply but I also tried it on my Truck battery with no luck. Where can I find the code level? I will check the display when I start it up to see if it says it there.

Thanks

No that is an OK version. Sounds to me like you got a bum charger. If you dont hook up the balancer does it do the same thing?

Yes... Only once out of about 40 attempts did it function on a 3s and that was one of many tries without the balancer.. The power supply provides 13.8 V at up to 30 Amp. But the truck battery yielded the same results. Still worked fine for the TP 5000 mah 6 cell I charged 3 times today..

Problem solved... The charger was bad.. Exchanged it to day for a new one that worked perfectly..

Thanks for the suggestions Bob..
