Default Growing community?

Hi all Eagletree fans,
I am considering to buy the Seagull system for my entire fleet. I wonder how many transmitters can be connected to the same dashboard unit and how are they channeled differently? In other words, how many loggers can share one dashboard. Do I need to setup different 900Mhz channels?

I browsed around many internet stores and found out most of them don't carry more than a few of each modules. Is Eagletree a common tool to general user or just for Professionals or someone like me who likes to tinker things?

How fast is Eagletree community growing?

Thanks

I would think that most users are just people that like to tinker or have the need to figure out efficiency to troubleshoot a problem.

The best place to get all the Eagletree stuff is www.eagletreesystems.com they make it they sell it. I don't know of anyone using the Seagull but it appears to be simple enough to work with most systems. Depending on your current TX/RX, you would have to pick a different frequency to avoid possible problems.

Now, if you are a real tinker the possibilities of you moving onto the next step could be high so you "might" want to get something different than the Seagull. The Seagull appears to be very limited in comparison to the Elogger (also an EagleTree product). For the same or even lower cost, you could just get an Elogger, and sensors (and more sensors) and save the performance on your ship to download at a later time and analize the data. That is what the Seagull does but in a more limisted way.

Now, if you don't want to wait to see the collected data, you can add to that the OSD PRO, hook it up to your Elogger, set up a small monitor near you, get a video tx and RX and you can get everything that the Seagull does PLUS MUCH more. To that you can add a small video camera, maybe get some goggles (or just use a monitor such as a small tv) and then you are flying FPV and able to view all the information the Seagull can give you and WAY WAY more.. GPS would be cool too.... later you could ad something like the co-pilot which will eventually work with the system (EagleTree is working on it) so that when you get lost out there, you just press a button and tell it come back home and your ship comes to you and flies in circles around you until you regain control.

Here is a sample of what you would get:

Eagletree osd-pro RTH working (3 min 3 sec)

... the only reason that I own one. Powertrains are easy to hook up, but the proof is in the pudding. Spot on mark comment Merlin. ET is worth every cent. (but it took me a while to understand what the graph was trying to tell me, however) Oh well, gotta start somewhere....It will become easier with practice as with anything in life.
