I just wanted to confirm - we're talking about part number EFLRDS76TJ with the 130x small size servo connector right?

I just had another stock servo go bad on me so I'm thinking of looking at other options.

How are people generally mounting on the boom?

But you probably want to reinforce the case tabs. They are very brittle. I've had great success just using a two part epoxy and thin clear plastic from a Duracell battery package. Once it sets I redrill the hole with a dremel and trim the excess. Others have used a carbon fiber reinforcement. Not sure who makes it. But you do have to reinforce the tabs somehow. The *will* break otherwise.

As far as the servo itself I just used the regular DS76T and cut off the last few inches of the linear servo wire and soldered it to the DS76T wire. But if the connectors for the 180CFX are the same then that tail servo is the way to go!

The regular servo is EFLRDS76T and the "J" is the 180's version with a different connector. But same servo.

EFLRDS76TJ is a direct fit on the 180CFX, I am not sure if the connector will fit the 130 board.
Someone will have to confirm this.
Mine has the EFLRDS76T which required the connector to be changed.
I just used one from a linear, spliced it and covered the solder joints with liquid electrical tape. Nice clean joints without the bulk of heat shrink tube.
HW.

ToddMcF2002 beat me to the post.

The only other thing you need to do is use some pliers to bend the hook vertical for the servo horn. This one of mine with the Lynx mount linked above.

Thanks guys for the pictures and the explanation.

In regards to the EFLRDS76TJ - I've done some more googling and pretty sure the 130x JST connectors are smaller than the ones on the 180x so either way I'm going to swap that. The 130x servos are JST-SH 1.0mm "nano" and the 180cfx servos are either a 1.25 or a 1.5 (I can't tell for sure from the pics but I think it's the JST-ZH 1.5mm)
