Default 690sx head parts on 600se?

Hi. Can you swap the 600se main blade grips out with the 690sx grips? They are beefier and have 5mm bolts. Better for higher head speeds over 1900

Are they 690SX main grips the same mold? Just bigger blade holes?

I'm fairly certain they're the same grips they've always used with larger holes and larger sockets to hold the nuts. But seriously, only someone who has both would be able to tell us.

Either way, the limitation on the old 600se for headspeed was the headblock itself, the dampers and the blade grip bolts. With the 690sx, all of these have been replaced so I don't know where the new headspeed limit will be but I wouldn't feel comfortable running over 2000rpm,

Default grips

From what I hear the 690sx grips are beefier. Not sure if they fit on the 600se head. I also heard that the 690sx was made to run 2100 headspeeds. Correct me if im wrong.

690SX grips are different part num from Logo 600 or Logo 600SX from looking at mikadoUSA.

O-rings in the head and and rotor head are same as 600SX. And uses the standard 600 feathering shaft and thrust bearings and main grip ball bearings.

So I'm thinking if you might be able to use the new 690SX grips on a 600SE old school rotor head.

Mikado limits the HS to 2000 rpm and 11 degrees pitch, there is a note from them in the box it shipped with

From the videos, I'm pretty sure Kyle is running more than that... Mikado has always been conservative on that sort of thing.

I was thinking that same thing! Those Factory guys must be running more that 11 degrees of pitch!

On my 600SE I run 1900 at 12 degrees pitch.

I'm sure Dave will chime in and talk us down..... heh

I don't think I would recommend flying like a maniac with the old two piece head yoke. Don't forget about that guy who started hand making aftermarket single piece heads simply to make them dramatically stronger since a few of the two piece heads had failed under very hard flying.
