More tail rotor help please
Does your tail pitch control arm hit your rear verticle fin? How much travel is it supposed to have for left and right control? Should it ever travel far enough to provide "left turn pitch" on the tail rotors, or is it enough to have the tail rotors basically reach a zero pitch position? Please help. Please take a look at your zoom or shogun and tell me how much travel I need back there. Thank you!

Hey J,
I was worried about the same thing when i was setting up my servos and noticed the slider didnt have much travel in one direction. Mine just barely goes past the zero point in one direction but goes alot further the other way. It ended up working fine. Just be careful of that little rat bastard pin. that thing will fall out if you dont glue it in. |

Pin sucks!
Mine doesn't go much past the negative on the TR, but I guess there's a lot of torque built up in this little guy so it's no problem. Since the TR is also reffered to as the anti-torque "something or rather", it makes sense. Seeing it as a 'rudder' disrupts the whole helicopter point of view If you've disassembled the tail rotor, you may have not put the tail rotor hub on the proper position on the tail rotor shaft to get the pitch range you need. |
