Default Bizarre 3GX w/ external receiver issues.

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction here. I have a 600GT with an updated 3GX unit connected to an Orange R910 receiver (it is going to have a scale body, need extra channels for lights and retracts). Has an external BEC.

Binds fine, everything works. However, as soon as you begin to apply throttle the satellite (plugged into receiver) starts blinking. Light on receiver stays solid. During testing the swash would occasionally go to a random full deflection and stay there, blinking satellite. Seemed like an un-bind or loss of connection.

Checked all connections, rebound it, ran through 3GX settings again, etc.

First test flight was fine, second ended with an un-commanded pitch forward into the ground...luckily minimal damage.

I am completely lost. It could be so many different things I don't even know where to start. My gut tells me it is the 3GX not playing well with the external receiver.

Maybe just go BeastX? Help!!!

3GX is a solid performer when setup correctly.
Just for your interest. I run 3 Helis with 3GX and recently updated the firmware on one to V4. It never worked correctly & exhibited symptoms same as you describe.
I went back to V3.1 and everything worked correctly again.
I did read a post stating older units stamped 2012 or earlier don't like V4. I'm not sure if this is actually a fact however I'm sticking to V3.1 for now.
Could this be a similar situation ?
What firmware are you running ?
Have you tried re-flashing the unit ?

I would suspect the Orange receiver and satellite before 3GX. I don't trust Orange receiver on my helis...
