Default Thinking about going FBL

Had a incident with the ONLY thing in my backyard the other day and tweaked the main shaft and feathering shaft and you know the important stuff.. been thinking about getting a Tarot ZYX conversion kit for my 450 since i can get one for a few more dollars than getting a full head and main shaft.it will be going on a cheaper heli so im not looking to get really expensive. does the ZYX perform good enough or should i just stick with getting a new FB head?

For a 450, there's no better upgrade than going FBL. And the ZYX is a great inexpensive option. There others too, such as the Robird g31.

Just completed converting my 450 Sport to FBL. I used the Robird G31. Since the weather and daylight is not agreeable all I've done is hover. Just a few minutes ago actually. Much more stable than it was before, using the same Hitec HS-65HB servos.

I would definitely recommend it. The documentation was ... well... adequate. So many settings in the software and pots on the gyro module and no explanation of how to use them. Fortunately presets are provided and for now I guess they'll suffice.

I guess what I need is "The Idiots guide to Flybarless systems". It would be nice to just read a complete explanation.
