105s are fine, 115s may be preferable if you run a low headspeed.
Great thank you

Well in only a month I'll be looknig at snow. Was hoping to play with the Logo 700 but to no avail it shall not happen. However I am pleased actually that they are taking some time to make things 100% to satisfaction, I'm almost certain this will be my goto machine next season and all I will fly, therefore I must have 2 of course.

I'm not quite sure what the hold-up is Shawn

I am certain it's nothing to do with how the machine functions, or that they're still trying to workout some design detail, as we've had totally functional machines for a long time now.

Since Mikado is still a small company, and is dependent on secondary vendors to supply them with some of their designed products, I would not be surprised if it's a "secondary vendor" issue that's delaying things.

So, I guess it gets here when it gets here

i'm sure it's a pretty major project to gather up the amount of yge 160's and the ultimate motors they will need for the kits. both are hard to get from time to time and with such a massive order from mikado along with regular public demand its easy to see it being delayed. I'm sure the raw kits are prob ready or close to it. just gives me time try to save my pennies.

@ shein95,

Your comment, "i'm sure it's a pretty major project to gather up the amount of yge 160's and the ultimate motors they will need for the kits."

It's worse than you probably can imagine. Maybe it's not my place to say anything, but when I learned this little bit of information, it opened my eyes as to what a logistical nightmare it is...and what a huge outlay of money for a long time the company has to put-up before anything ever actually gets "sold".

But in order for the first production run of kits to be ready for a "planned released" in September, the 4525-520kv motors (just one example of the many components to the "kit"), had to be ordered in mass about 8 months ago And no small number were ordered!

I KNOW, not hearsay I KNOW forgetting the combo stuff the development of ANY new machine is WAY OVER 6 figures. I have been told that by the boys who put up and are in this hobby. Developing one of these little jewels is BIG $$$ compared to what most think it takes. It was eye opening for me. When Curtis told me the cost of just the mold to produce the tank on his Rave ENV I thought he was pulling my leg.

All that said, I am waiting very impatiently myself. Add me to that list.

its' no secret...just surprising to those who don't do manufacturing. each half of an injection mold can usually be estimated at $10K by the time the initial drawings, CAD, etc are done. so, if CY told you it was $20K for the tank mold i wouln't raise an eyebrow.

This may be the wrong place to ask this question (don't throw rocks), but if you had no heli's and you were going to have one Align and one Logo what would you do.....Logo 600SX & Align 700 V3 or Align 600 & Logo 700?

definitely wrong forum for a question like that ;-)

ok, i'll be serious. i'm guessing one will be a beater (wonder which one). i'd say the cheaper to repair should be the beater...so Align 600, Logo 700.

But, honestly if I had the means I would fly all logo.

In fact, i've often mentally pared my fleet down to 2. All that remained were the Logo 600SE and a Trex 450 just due to its size/fly anywhere nature. If Mikado made a 450 class heli I wouldn't own an Align at all.

I'd say the opposite. If I had to have 1 Align and 1 Logo it would be the Logo 600SX and the Align 700. Reason is the Logo 600 flies awesome and the Align 700 doesn't fly bad either. All right its not a Rolls Royce but it does what it says on the tin. The Align 600, well I have my thoughts but I won't share them here.

You know what? I changed my mind. I'll have the Logo 700 and the Align 600 can go in the garbage bin

I actually pared my extensive fleet down to 2 for well over a year now... Wound up with L600 and 7HV. Of course, I now have a new Rush 750 sitting here in the box, so I guess I'm back up to 3. My L600SE went away during the pare down.

Why don't you just keep your T-Rex 550? If you use 6S 5000 mAh packs on that heli, then you can double them up in series and share them with the Logo 700. (I assume most people will be using 2 x 6S 5000 mAh packs in the Logo 700, right?) Just be sure that you have good packs.
