I only have one flight, so far just a decrease in flight time, no real added power...

I guess this appeals to someone like me, i want a completly stock ncpx
Frame wise, and just drop in a bl motor.

Really they should have done this a long time ago, and thats why there are way better options out with a bl outrunner.

I might try a few pinions when i get the motor, hell it might suck so bad i do end up getting a outrunner and new frame to do it right.

Default Any Word on New Factory Nano Brushless?

Weird they just don't make a stock v2 frame for BL outrunner and integrated ESC's. That would sell like butter

I would bet that a new Nano is in the works.
With Horizon dropping the price and blowing them out,
The New Nano may not have a different frame, but this power plant will be inside.
Maybe a couple other changes for the better.

We Will See

the nano should have came bl from the start, way under powered blade is getting left in the dust, they really need to pick up there game. stop cutting corners, spend some of that money on some R&D step it up move a bit faster with upgrading short comings if they ever want me to buy one of there toys. im not bashing just telling like I see it. they would be fools not to come out with a 180 size or 200, just dont cut corners, make it kick a$$ who knows

That inrunner will probably be a good/economic stock replacement.

And why would Blade use Atmel chip when there is such a large body of knowledge supporting Silabs chips?

It would be cool if Blade made a 3-in-1 with built in double brushless ESCs with Silabs chips and programming plugs already wired or Bluetooth, etc..

We could lose 2 or 3 grams...

The Black Hornet flies for 15-25 minutes, has a camera, flies to and from coordinates, flies fpv, weighs 1/2 ounce and costs $200.

From what I just read your $200 price is a touch off from the $125,000 I saw quoted on there FB page...

Can you bring me up to speed and let me know how long they do last please? I use them in a different environment so haven't had one go yet.

They last anywhere from 50 to 200 or more flights, they're really unpredictable. I am still buying this upgrade however, I still want something other than stock brush.

Yours are pretty protected in edf units, the main and tail of a heli are a little harder on motors.

Any more news on how the brushless upgrade performs? How does it compare in power to the mild and wild kits? Do you think it's worth it for $50?

I'm looking at it like this. The brushed power was fine for my style flying. IF it out lasts the same value in the brushed motors, it's worth it to me to not have the head aches or falling from sky.

Plus I'm no good with fine soldering.

Hmmm, an almost ten percent increase in weight, with minimal added power. No thanks, for my part. Assuming it actually does have twenty percent more power, as discussed before, the added weight kills half that gain. I'll bet a mild brushless would fly just as well, maybe better, given it's around a half gram lighter than stock...

Well, it's not exactly like they lock your head in a stanchion, hobble your legs, and stick a bucket under you, is it? Yours is the choice to pull that wallet out. Or not.....
