Default BeastX Setup - Step G and Step M?!?!

I have two questions about the BeastX setup if anyone can help:

1. When setting up the centering of the servos at step G, when you enter the step all servos are placed at their reference point. I fit the servo horns and they are never quite 90. I go through each servo and adjust the electronic centres and when i go back to the reference point, the adjusted centre is gone.

So, if i adjust the swash and blade pitch to zero whilst at reference point, it is wrong when centring the servos electronically. Likewise, if i set the swash plate and blade pitch to zero whilst electronically setting the servos, the swash is wonky when returning to the reference point?

At which point am i setting the swash plate to level and blades to 0 pitch?

2. The servos sensor direction at step M appears to be set up perfectly, with the swash countering the tilt of the hell in the correct way. BUT, when leaving the setup completely, to fly, the swash plate seem to make virtually no correction at all - any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

The swash leveling is done in step "G". Check out Ron Lund's videos on setting up the BeastX (MicroBeast). Very informative and done in plain english (Except for the Texas accent. LOL).

Did you save / escape from the setup after the zero was done? If not, try that to be sure settings are saved before changing anything else. I found that one step at a time works best, for me any way.

When I set up my 550 DFC, I created a profile in the transmitter that had the 3 center curve points for CYC 1, 2 and 3 at zero (center of curve) so that if the transmitter sticks weren't quite centered, they still gave me a zero referance through 60% of the stick travel. This allowed the center to be correct for 60% of the time, eliminating errors induced by my dumb thumbs and crappy eyes.

I then set the BeastX to Manual swash control (no mixing) and set my servo centers and then adjusted my links, using the swash leveling tool over the main shaft. Returned BeastX to 120 deg swash and center is dead nutz on and stays there. Then the endpoint adjustment was done after swash center was perfect.

Your blade 0 deg check is done at step "J", after the swash leveling. If not zero, then there is some other geometry problem, like links not adjusted correctly. Correct that and then you need to teach it the 6 deg setting in step "J".

I had to go through mine about 5 times before I got it dead on. A digital pitch gauge is priceless in these setups, IMHO.

Thanks for the detailed reply.
At least I know it's not just me! Will give your instructions a go when I get some time.

Thanks again.
