Default Welcome to the Flight School Forum

Welcome to the new flight school forum. We wanted to give the community a place to discuss all topics about flying RC helicopters. Your experiences, training tips, videos, and questions are all welcome here.

So whether you are a neophyte or an elite veteran, we welcome you to share your experiences so hopefully we may give something back to this great community of RC fliers.

Keep in mind, try to keep threads here on topic to flying itself. There are much better suited forums here at Helifreak for questions regarding setups, radios, engines, electronics, etc... Discussions in here are more suited for generic talking about flying itself, and not specific to any brand or equipment.

Great idea !! This will get a LOT of traffic ! Hez Raza - maybe you can put up that Curtis Autorotation instructional video in the Auto section - I tried searching for it but can't find it. He gave an auto lesson during some funfly which was very instructional and entertaining.

Very cool RaZa. Glad to see that you have the Flight School in you own forum.

I have one video request from ya. Can you do a couple of videos on Hurricanes? I'm able to do them inverted backwards clockwise, but not a real consistant Hurricane low to the ground. I'm fumbling around trying to reverse direction now. Any tips from your vid's are great.

This is awesome. I don't have any clubs or flying buddy around my area. I had to learn everything about heli by myself, so this is a huge help for me. Thank you.

I have never seen anyone in real life do any kind of 3D.
The nearest LHS is 1,500 miles from me.

I have no idea what a funnel is.
I have no idea what a tic-toc is.

Textual based descriptions don't do it.
I need to see a funnel video....so I know exactly what a funnel is to begin with.
Then follow up with the textual how-to.

Same with tic-tocs. Never seen one....and I can't visualize the manuever
when presented with a text based description.

I hope the videos happen! Thx for being willing to do them - it's great.

Sometimes when I watch a video of 3D...the flyer does several things all rolled
into the same video. I can't tell what's what.

A funnel video needs to be a video of just the funnel manuever.
Nothing else thrown in.

So I'm still totally stumped as to what these manuevers really are.
