Default Can you shorten motor wire leads

Hi just got a 550xf 1200 and wanted to know if it is ok to shorten the wires off the motor or is it like some brands the wires are coated with something that doesn't allow resoidering.

Yes. I recently did the same on my KDE motor. No issue.

The KDE motor wires are just regular wires. There is no varnish to worry about. I myself ended up shortening the 550XF-1200-G3 wires to fit the Goblin 570 a little better. No issues.
