Lightbulb SR battery ?

I have a larger battery from my P-51 that gets the CG, right on, and fits good with the canopy as I had to shove stock batt all the way forward and still not quite right. Deal is, this batt is1800mAhs, but 11.1Vs. It also has dean connectors, but the same balancing plug.Is there a pluggable transistion lead that will eliminate soldering...someone has to know what I'm talking about.... Or is the 1800mAh too much ?? Female dean to stock female ..

I bought some G-Force 3s Lipo's 30c Discharge, they weigh in at 92gm and the stock lipo 2s is 82gm. 10 gm difference balances it out nicely. You should be ok just means you have a longer flight time but I would watch for motor overheating ?

That's a non-issue. Even with a higher-discharge battery or higher-capacity battery, you're not taxing the brushless motor at all on this bird. I'd be glad to show an IR photo from the brushless motor if you require, but I socked a 30C 1300mAh LiPo on the front of this bird, and the motor was barely hand-warm at the end.

They're out there, but everyone is back ordered that I saw. I converted everything I own to APPs (Anderson Power Poles), including my charger. Bit bulkier (not heavier), but excellent connection and easy to connect/disconnect. These are crimp connections: no soldering. Crimper is pricey: $39.95, but hey, you only have to buy it once ! So I don't even look at what the battery comes with: 2 minute conversion and it's done !

Just so you know, the stock connector is a JST connector. You should be able to find some at your LHS, they're quite common in the 2S LiPo world.

Well that is what I was thinking would or should be the case but new as I am I didn't want to "overspeak". Thanks for confirming. My thinking was thus, the 3900kv BL is only going to draw so many amps regardless so any battery that is capable of providing more will only have a longer service life since it won't heat up nearly as much, hence longer batt life.

I chose the Value Hobby 3s because they use a air baffle separator between the cells to aid in cooling. Have only yet to do spool ups in the house due to rain so can speak to the difference in the batt from stock but expect from spool ups that it will def outperform.

I just ordered some JST male leads and took off the deans connectors. I use a jig and have a Weller ML500MP butane solder tool (it's the bomb), two mintues and i'm in business.

U send em to me with shipping paid both ways and all parts I'll do it for free but If you are near a LHS I suspect they will do it for ya cheap esp if you buy from them.
