Default Excessive voltage drain?, charging problem?

Hey Freaks,
I recently purchased the Duralite Plus voltage regulator (w/ heavy duty switch). Currently, I've charge it about a dozen times. Yesterday, before my first flight I checked the voltage and it wasn't at it's normal 8.2 volts (7.7 w/ 1 amp load) it was a bit lower 8.0 volts (7.4 w/ load). This was strange because I had charged it the evening before and normally read higher voltages the next day. Nonetheless, I flew and checked it each flight and everything seemed fine.
I charged the pack again, however after six hours the pack was still charging. I took it off charge and checked the voltage and it read 8.28 volts (7.75 under load). I waited 8 hours and rechecked the pack and it reads 8.08 volts (7.6 w/ load). This seems like an excessive voltage drain for sitting unused by itself. (please note that I have the switch wired correctly)
Now, I have the pack back on charge (remember it was already at 8.08 volts) and it's been on the charger for 3 hours and still has not completed it's charge cycle.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Contacted Duralite and they said it was the balancing circuit in the battery going bad. Duralite said they will replace battery.
