What is the latest firmware release version for the iCharger 4010duo? ProgressiveRC shows a version of 3.14 with a date of Dec, 2010. I am hoping that the latest charger does not have or use a 2 year old firmware. So, where do I get and confirm the latest release?

The date is a type-O.
The charger was released toward the end of 2012.
Try the link above for the latest firmware.

I just set mine up to run off of a 48 v golf cart. I made three videos of it as an introduction to this power house. I am very impressed with mine so far. Perhaps I should do a video on accessing the menus and features.

Link if anyone is interested...

Nice video. That is 4C each battery. I don't like charge that fast unless that is a Thunder Power 12C charging Rated.

Usually the 5C batteries are overrated. at the field i don't like charge more than 2.5C-3C
At home 1C is perfect. No rush.

To me those take up WAY too much room... I just use the squid cables.

I actually like them, looks more organized.

I think I'll be ordering this charger soon. What's a good power supply to go with it?

I went with two PowerMax PM3-75 from progressiverc, but Fishjunky can hook you up with some server power supplies. I'm planning to get some deep cycles for field charging later this spring.

Voltage is key! you are severely limited by 12-13V. Deep cycles have no amp limits so they are the best power source.. I usually use dual deep cycles and may go with 3... of course puling 50-60A out of them won't go easy on them.. but mine have 2 year full replacement.

I'm going with a generator, no need for deep cycles

So you want the feathermerchant 24V setup.. or ideally 2 of them for 48V

If you are referring to my setup, I did not purchase it for the 4010. I got it for my two 306Bs. If I were to get a 4010, I would not be getting it for fast charging purposes. Rather it would just reduce the clutter at my charging station. Because I mainly have Turnigy batteries, I would still be charging all 12 batteries for my Fusion at 1C. My setup works fine for that arrangement.

I got it from Progressive.

http://www.progressiverc.com/fma-uni...or-jst-xh.html

Check the link on top.

It came without connectors. I decide use the EC5 but you can use bullets and change the connector at your convenience. I like the idea of the 40Amps fuse for any emergency or short circuit.

:-)
