That's what can happen when they don't have a live inventory system. They have to manually update two different web pages. Either they forgot to update the English page when stock arrived or they forgot to update the German page when the last one(s) were sold.

I have one of these and I assembled it as directed and the blade grips rub on the center of the hub! I looks like it needs a couple of more small spacers to provide the clearance needed.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I have two of these and both have a clearance of about 1mm between the center of the tail hub and bottom of the tail grip. Maybe you got the tail hub for the Mini Protos mixed in. I don't know what length it is, but I'm just taking a wild guess.

Thanks but I figured it out. I didn't have the bearings seated all of the way in the grips. I hope that this makes more of a difference in flight than it does on the bench as I can't tell any difference at all! Good thing that I changed the tail though as to my suprise I was running the old grips! Luck the KBDD blades didn't tear them apart!
I don't remember changing them to the unit with the old grips but I did some how.

With this new hub, I still can pull the blade grips in and out, just like the old hub without TH bearings.

Well, i need some help. I tried the new tail in flight tonight and I have to say that I now have the worst tail on a heli since I gave up tail motor helis!
The slider is free and smooth and the tail morks just fine when you move it by hand. No binding or drag at all but the tail acts very loose and it wags badly. I assembled the bearings to the diagram and instructions posted earlier and they seem fine.
Any ideas?

In all my experience, tail wag was usually contributed to bindings, given that electronics is fine of course. Maybe there is some binding in flight under load. Try to reassemble and maybe change bearings. Vibs can also contribute.

That is the strange part. I didn't change anything but the hub and the other parts that come in the kit. I pulled out on the grips as hard as I could and there was no binding. I took the tail rod off of the servo and it moves smooth and easy. I haven't changed to FBL yet so still running the same GY401 and 9257 as before.
So far not looking good for this "upgrade".

Well. Just a story. On Logo 500 I had bad wag, even went one time to Wag Of Death. I could not stop it, so landed wagging with amplitude of about 45 degrees each side every second. That was scary! In my understanding tail was smooth. Nevertheless, I took extra steps to make it even more smoother, kind of polishing balls (they are plastic on Logo), polishing shaft, resizing ball links, etc. and now it is OK, no wag. Truly speaking I changed servo to BLS 251 as well finally. But old one (Hyperion) works on Protos just fine (not really like it though, having bad taste from Logo endevaour).

Try to reassemble, inspect every part, maybe change bearings just in case. If bearings were fine, you'll have spares. If they are binding, than that's solution.

Try to oil shaft (I am sure you did), maybe try different oils. I prefer Scorpion oil, many people are happy with triflow. This thrusted tail works for me and old tail woked as well, but thrusted seems better (maybe it is perception).

Good luck!

I have the same problem with my tail.
It’s not a cyclic wag, but it’s like the tail is snaking and even without touching the rudder stick, it looks like a spongy tail.
For some seconds it’s stable in a hover, the next it’s like it’s trying to find the center, as a drunk man trying to balance on one foot.
I tried everything to get rid of it, but just can’t. Mechanically, I think I can’t do anything more, as I’ve replaced all the parts for new ones.
I just don’t get it.

Whisperdancer, That is a good discription of the problem. I have to conclude that the thrusted tail has much more drag and it is too much for the servo.
I am going to install the old tail and see if the problem goes away and if it does I am going to return this POS tail kit.

As a reference, my old tail worked the same.
I've tried 3 different configurations:

- Normal tail without TH bearings
- Alex TH bearing conversion
- MSH TH bearing conversion

All have the same performance. I guess with a full size the differences are less noticeable.
