Default Logo 700 loses a battery mid flight

I don't own one but I saw this video on Reddit and had to share it here!

This has happened to me on my 800. Was no where as lucky as this guy. Destroyed one pack lost the boom,blades and main frames. It exploded in flight.
I think it was my fault hustling a last flight. May not have tightened the battery plate in securely.

Great save! Heli was a 800 not 700. Comments from the owner;

Went out flying today with a couple of the machines, I am still trying to get a feel for this monster (4th flight with it), was just flying about pushing it a little seeing how it held up to abuse, when ermmmm well you can see what happens in the video below!

Logo 800 Xxtreme ejects batteries during flight! No crash!!! - YouTube

The battery managed to work free from the battery straps totally, I'm unsure whether they were tightened up enough to begin with or whether they are just not up to the job, needless to say i think i got very lucky and will be upgrading the velcro straps before i take the 800 out again!

kudos to the optipower opti guard which saved the day, you can see the light on the back flashing like mad as it lands. Its only been installed for 4 flights and its already paid for itself! defiantly would recommend to anyone just using the esc Bec
There was a discussion around using additional straps on the Xxtreme due to the weight of the packs. 3 straps for each pack seems to be the agreed minimum. The 7S 5200mah is a heavy pack!

This happen to me on the Logo 700 no back up using the Kosmik Bec, the moment I seen them come out, I flipped over and leveled out with no damage.

I was using a Kosmik 160, if you move cyclic and unplug you will see you have a few seconds of movement, it stored enough voltage up that gave me the extra time, but I will say, you can't beat the Optipower backup.
