Many run the gens ace 2600 no problem...i did also...just have to position the packs till you get a good center of gravity or you can use lead weights.

About time I got back to this.

OK Probably 40 flights so far with 5 min flight times, with me just sports flying around doing figure eights etc, packs come down warm, at 40% and balance back up perfectly, very happy with their performance so far.

How does the bird fly with this size battery? Does it make for a heavy bird and what kind of fly times do you get with what type of flying?

It's not nose heavy at all. It was well balanced with that battery. I think the longest flight times I got out of em was around 4.5 mins. I was only test flying it and not really pushing the bird to suck out the juice in the batts. But for sport flying, 4.5mins is what I got.

Interesting thread! By comparison, I'm running two Turnigy Nanotech 2650's in parallel, and average 12 minute flight times... Granted, I don't fly 3D or with a canopy for that matter, but it sure makes for some good areal photography

What's your total weight with that setup NexxuSix? Anyone else have a heavier than normal 500 and can let us know their flying weight?
