Default Tail Slider Modification

Just wondering if anyone has ever modified the tail slider by removing 2-3mm from the brass bushing to get equal servo throw whilst having a neutral offset to compensate for the main rotor torque?

That's the idea of the mod. It should give me equal throw, whilst offsetting the centre position to counter the torque in rate mode.

They were when I first built the model so I had to file about 1mm off of each of the black dampeners in the head block.

Sorry, I don't fly in rate mode, but I believe it's always best to have the model mechanically set as best as possible.

Offseting your tail blades for tourqe is a thing of the past with new Heading lock gyros. Its best to teach center. I ALWAYS set my tail blades to zero degrees in rate mode before i set my limits so the gyro knows center. Works like a charm and tail is SOLID. i use this with all my gyros beastx and 3gx rock solid hold

I respectfully disagree with that. Would you fly a FBL system with the swash wonky and rely on the cyclic gyros to do all the work?
