Airwolf 500 size trex 500 mechanics SOLD
I have a fun little scale project that I purchased not to long ago. I got it flying and had some fun with it and now its time to move on to something else.
This is a Heliartist 500 size Airwolf with mechanical retracts. It is using Trex 500 DFC pro mechanics with stock align servos throughout, scorpion 1600kv motor, Talon 90 esc, and a hitech retract servo. I can sell it receiver ready or FBL ready your choice. It will ship with Edge 473mm blades, Align 425mm blades, and an older set of Align 425mm blades. I will also include everything needed to convert back to a pod and boom heli. Canopy, boom supports, tail fin, landing gear and etc. It flew on a 6s 3000mah pack that is NOT included. Issues that I know about. When I received the heli the gun pod on one side had its mount lug broken. There are still two lugs left but you may want to pin the third. There is a small crack inside the front of the fuse that was repaired with ca glue and can not be seen with the front part of the canopy on. On the bottom at one side of the retract is damaged, looks like someone knocked a small chunk off. The retract pushrods were broken where they attach to the ball link so I used the old thread and CA trick to strengthen them and it worked well. The plastic bits that mount the plastic control arms onto the retract shafts were loss on the shaft so I drilled them and added a grub screw. When I did this I cracked one of the arms and used thread around it with CA glue to fix it which it did. The mounting holes that attach to the mechanics in the back are oversized for adjustment so you must use a large washer. The screen is missing in the very top of the fuse, doesn't affect flight just is missing. Canopy windshield is not glued on and is just taped on for now. It will need to be permanently attached. Has strait cut maingear. The Airwolf flies well on the 473s at about 2000 rpm and is what I call fun scale. It loops and rolls great and can be flown aggressively just like the real Airwolf. And as a bonus if you dont like it scale pull the mechs out and use the supplied parts to have a pod and boom heli. Asking 395 shipped without ikon or rx, or 495 shipped with ikon no rx. PM me for a link to 30 more picture of the heli. Last edited by Nick_P; 05-24-2016 at 12:38 PM.. |
